We have a new Tick! British actor Peter Serafinowicz will don the might antennae of JUSTICE in a pilot for Amazon. When we initially reported on this a few weeks ago, we were concerned by the news that former Tick Patrick Warburton couldn’t return to the role. But! Serafinowicz seems like he’ll be perfect for the role.

Serafinowicz was Denarian Saal in Guardians of the Galaxy, Shaun’s perpetually frustrated roommate in Shaun of the Dead, and, maybe most memorably, the voice of Darth Maul in The Phantom Menace. He also played multiple roles on The IT Crowd, Black Books, Spaced, and half a dozen other shows that shaped British comedy in the ’00s, but maybe absolute best of all was his work on Look Around You. Trust us, this is a rabbit hole you want to go down.

Ben Edlund, who created the comic, cartoon, and previous live-action takes on the character, will return as writer and executive producer. This time, Tick is recovering from memory loss and reunites with his sidekick Arthur (who will be played by Griffin Newman) and Arthur’s sister Dot (played by Valorie Curry). We don’t know yet if any other characters are returning, or if the heroes and villains will be entirely new. Either way, we are now officially excited!
