Daredevil’s Season Two Posters Go for Baroque!

You know, cause Daredevil went wayyyy too light on the Catholic imagery last season.

We kid, we kid. redditor UltraDangerLord shared these poster comparisons, which highlight the references to Caravaggio, who was especially acclaimed for his use of chiaroscuro – the use of bold contrasts between light and dark for dramatic effect, and Peter Paul Rubens, who was an important figure in the Catholic Counter-Reformation art of the 17th Century. Again, no way this will be relevant to Daredevil. Nope, not at all. The three paintings are St. SebastianDavid with the Head of Goliath, and the memento mori-tastic St Jerome.

We cannot wait for Friday.
