Disney/Pixar Alters History With The Good Dinosaur Trailer

With Inside Out coming to theaters in less than two weeks, Disney•Pixar is already whetting our appetites for their next movie, The Good Dinosaur. The studio released a teaser trailer setting up the simple but effective premise: What if that asteroid missed the Earth entirely, and dinosaurs didn’t go extinct?

Why, that means humans and dinosaurs could coexist! Judging from the shots in the trailer of a little boy sitting atop his dino buddy as they go on fun adventures. Of course, the fact that the title refers to a single “good” dinosaur makes us wonder how well early man gets along with the creatures who inhabited the Earth long before two-leggers appeared, and if we’ll be getting How to Train Your Dinosaur. Also, it’s unclear if these dinosaurs talk or not, though it’s likely they do.

Pixar also released this poster, which actually tells more of a story than the minute-long teaser:
