Reactor

In this week’s podcast episode, Justin checks in with fantasy authors Sam Sykes and Delilah S. Dawson on feast scenes in epic fantasy, along with other things we leave out, or don’t leave out, of our favorite sprawling subgenre. Be warned: there is talk of bathroom activity.

Sam Sykes is the author of the Bring Down Heaven series from Orbit Books. The first book, A City Stained Red, is out now, and its sequel, The Mortal Tally, will be available later this year. He owns a pug named Otis, lives in Arizona, and tweets a lot.

Delilah S. Dawson tweets a lot. Perhaps even more than Sam Sykes. When she’s not tweeting, she’s an author. She’s written paranormal romance (Blud series), young adult (Servant of the Storm and Hit), and her first epic fantasy, Wake of Vultures, comes out in October under the pen name Lila Bowen. She lives in Georgia with a horse. And a family.
