Marvel has announced the official release date for its Daredevil series: Starting April 10 at 12:01 a.m. PST, you can watch all 13 episodes on Netflix. Yep, through the beauty of Netflix, we’ll get to watch the entire first season as blind attorney Matt Murdock-turned-superhero Daredevil fights crime through gritty (or not-so-gritty?) New York City.

While the first image of Stardust’s Charlie Cox in costume is clearly inspired by Frank Miller and John Romita Jr.’s miniseries Daredevil: Man Without Fear, showrunner Steven S. DeKnight has clarified that this adaptation is not directly based on that source material.

So far no release dates have been announced for Netflix’s other three Marvel series. Netflix’s chief content officer Ted Sarandos revealed that the series will likely be staggered, each one being released about a year apart before culminating in the miniseries event The Defenders. Krysten Ritter and Mike Colter have already been cast as on-again, off-again lovers Jessica Jones and Luke Cage, with Iron Fist yet to be announced.

Netflix also released a Daredevil motion poster with a cool heartbeat effect. Whether the show will use the same effects to showcase Daredevil’s superhuman senses as the movie did remains to be seen:
