The Avengers: Age of Ultron trailer gave us all sorts of chills due in part to its creepy use of “I’ve Got No Strings” from Pinocchio—which, when you really think about it, is the most disturbing Disney movie. How to make both even creepier? Combine them!
Nerd Reactor has provided us with nightmare fodder in the disturbing mashup Avengers: Age of Pinocchio, which layers the trailer’s audio over footage from Pinocchio. It fits eerily well: Geppetto as Tony Stark, the Blue Fairy as Black Widow, and Pinocchio/Ultron himself surveying the chaos and destruction.
That ending…! So creepy.
