DJ Hodor’s “Rave of Thrones” Tour Has Begun, is an Actual Rave of Thrones

We’ve known for a while now that Game of Thrones actor Kristian Nairn moonlights as a DJ when he’s not busy Hodorin’, letting others’ lyrics and some sick beats speak for him. And while his Soundcloud page sadly is filled more with electronic dance and house music rather than remixes of the Game of Thrones theme song, he recently took the next step towards bringing the two together, kicking off a “Rave of Thrones” tour!

And the costumes are great.

The full event report comes from inthemix (via Kotaku), who also shared these amazing photos. The stage was set with an Iron Throne (of course), and the pre-show spliced GoT sex scenes with Kanye West’s “Bound” video (um, OK, sure). The show itself saw plenty of actors taking the Throne, along with some fearsome dragon fire:

Although Nairn wouldn’t wear his Hodor costume onstage (Reason: “Jesus Christ man, do you know how hot that would be?!”), he did take the mic at one point and YES HE SAID “HODOR”:

And we haven’t even talked about the attendees yet. Ravers love their costumes, but these fans went above and beyond with their con-worthy cosplay. You had Khaleesis and Khal Drogos, White Walkers, Jon Snows and direwolves, and snarky T-shirts galore:

There are worse ways to pass the time before season 5.

American ravers, don’t despair: Nairn is bringing the Rave of Thrones to New York City in October!
