Community Renewed for a SIXTH Season and Nothing Makes Sense Anymore

Community, the belovedly misanthropic show that we kind of thought for sure was done at the end of this pretty-okay fifth season…has been picked up for a sixth season.

Hitfix is reporting that Yahoo is getting into the original online programming game by funding a sixth season of the show. Contracts with the actors expired at the end of June, making this one very close shave of a deanewal, er, renewal.

There will be 13 episodes, produced by Dan Harmon and Chris McKenna, set to debut late this fall. Hitfix has additional comments from Harmon and Joel McHale. We don’t even know what timeline to call all of this. The impossible timeline?

Here’s hoping Troy comes back.
