Hodderscape, the online community for Hodder & Stoughton, will become “the first UK publishing website to pay for original content,” according to The Bookseller. Hodderscape, which launched in 2012 with Facebook and Twitter activity, has put original posts up each weekday, but has committed to increasing their content during 2014.

Hodderscape is encouraging submissions from anyone: “[W]hether you’re an author, a reviewer, a blogger or just an avid reader, we’re open to your contributions. Basically, if you have something to share, we want to hear it!”

Oliver Johnson, a publisher at Hodder, is enthusiastic about the site’s growing community, and wants to encourage everyone with a love of genre and slipstream work to dive in. “The Hodderscape website provides a joyous celebration of the speculative, in all forms and we have been very lucky to have had wonderful contributions from Hodder staff, authors and external contributors over the past nine months.”

The site will begin paying its writers immediately. You can check out Hodderscape’s submission guidelines here.
