Neil Gaiman’s The Graveyard Book is already a classic, having won the Newbery Medal in 2009 and the hearts of countless creeped-out children. But now it is being transmogrified into a two-volume graphic novel! Each chapter is illustrated by artists including Kevin Nowlan, P. Craig Russell, Tony Harris, Scott Hampton, Galen Showman, Jill Thompson, Stephen B. Scott, David Lafuente, and Galen Showman, with Russell also providing the covers for each volume.
Here’s the cover of Volume II, with a confused-looking Nobody Owens reaching out to catch a knife…maybe he should rethink that decision?
And here’s an image from earlier in Volume I, of lonely Nobody standing at the cemetery gate. This pretty much sums up childhood, right here.
We can’t wait to see the full work! Volume I will be released on July 29th, with Volume II coming on September 30th.
