The Association for the Recognition of Excellence in Science Fiction & Fantasy Translation has announced the finalists for their 2013 Science Fiction and Fantasy Translation Awards, and we’re delighted that The Whispering Muse is among the nominees! The novel, by the multi-award-winning Icelandic author (and Bjork collaborator) Sjón, draws on the story of the Golden Fleece to explore Iceland’s recent past, as well as the history of Nordic civilization, and has been nominated in the Long Form category. You can read an excerpt of Victoria Cribb’s translation here. Congratulations to all the nominees!
