We knew science would come through for us, romantically, in the end. And so did artist Thomas Allen! Above is one of his scupltures called “Bearings” from his “Beautiful Evidence” exhibition, on display now until October 14 at the Foley Gallery in New York City. Allen takes figures and illustrations cut from mid-20th century literature and non-fiction and turns them into awesome, romantic sculptures. Check out a few of our favorites below the cut!

'Disproportionate'

'Drawstring'

'Starstruck'
