Peek at the Sweetest Page From This Week’s Saga #2

The second issue of Brian K. Vaughan and Fiona Staples’ new comic series Saga hits shelves this Wednesday, April 11. We’ve gotten an early read of the issue and the series continues to live up to the weird, filthy, eye-popping Star Wars-ish promise that the first issue delivered.

It’s not all shock value, though. (Although there is plenty of that, the last page of issue #2 is completely bananas. Fans of Vaughan’s previous Runaways series might be especially disturbed…) Couched inside the bizarre backdrop of these multiple worlds are some heavy musings on race, class, parenthood, violence, and more.

And on one page, a particularly sweet sentiment that Earthlings in particular can relate to:
