The famous phrase “Danger Will Robinson! Danger!” was uttered numerous times on the iconic 1960s sci-fi TV show Lost in Space by a character known only as the B9 Robot. Sadly, the real-life voice of the Robot; Dick Tufeld passed away today. The news comes from fellow Lost in Space alum Billy Mumy’s Facebook page in which he said:

“Dick Tufeld was a really cool guy. He’s reunited with his wife Adrian now. R.I.P. Dick. You will be missed big-time.”

Dick’s other voice credits include Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea, The Time Tunnel, and the 1998 film version of Lost in Space. Thanks for the memories Dick.

Stubby the Rocket is the voice and mascot of Tor.com. Stubby and the rest of us will continue to warn Will Robinson, though not as effectively as Dick did.
