Chesley Award–Winner spotlight: Lucas Graciano

The Chesley Awards for achievement in art are given each year by the Association of Science Fiction and Fantasy Artists at the World Science Fiction Convention. This wis a series of posts to spotlight each winner from this year’s event.

Lucas Graciano, won the 2011 Chesley award for Gaming art for the above artwork Amorphous Drake from Sony Entertainment’s Legends of Norrath.

One of the advanatges of following awards is discovering new artists. I didn’t know about Graciano until the nominations were announced (proving I’m not as up to date with the gaming artists as I should be.) Going through his website was a treat, he’s clearly someone inspired by golden age illustrators with nice bold brushstrokes that he’s not afraid to let show.
