Saturday Morning Cartoons: “King Midas” and “Sisyphus”

King Midas: Ray Harryhausen is best known for his work on films like Jason and the Argonauts and The 7th Voyage of Sinbad, but he also made animated shorts aimed at children. (10:08 minutes)

Sisyphus: Sometimes things just seem to get harder as you go along. Bear in mind Camus’ essay on the titular character when watching this film. (2:05 minutes)

René Walling is a fan of SF, animation and comics, this has led him to co-chair Anticipation, the 2009 Worldcon, be involved with fps magazine for more than a decade, write reviews of francophone short fiction for The Portal, and start Nanopress, a Canadian small press. He looks forward to living on Mars where he would benefit from having more than 24 hours in a day.
