As part of BEA (Book Expo America) in New York City, a gathering of some of the biggest names in speculative fiction will occur at the New York Public Library on May 24th, including some great Tor.com contributors.
The following authors will be on hand to discuss their thoughts on the genre:
- Lev Grossman (The Magicians)
- John Scalzi (Old Man’s War, the upcoming Fuzzy Nation)
- Catherynne M. Valente (Deathless, The Girl Who Circumnavigated Fairyland in a Ship of Her Own Making)
- Scott Westerfeld (Leviathan, Behemoth, the Uglies series)
Brian Slattery will be on hand to provide original music and the entire event will be emceed by Small Beer Press’s Gavin Grant.
This event was originally to be held at the Mid-Manhattan NYPL Branch, but due to an overwhelming number of registrations has been moved across the street to the Main Branch. (That’s the one with the lions!) The event is free but you must register here to attend.
See you there?
