Over the weekend, the nominees for the 2011 Hugo Awards were announced, and both Tor.com and Tor Books made a solid showing. Here’s who we’re toasting in the office today:

Robert A. Heinlein: In Dialogue with His Century: Volume 1 (1907-1948): Learning Curve by William Patterson was nominated for Best Related Work. Last summer, Tor.com hosted a symposium on Heinlein that included Mitch Wagner, Sarah A. Hoyt, John Scalzi, Jo Walton, and more. You can find the entirety of it collected here.

Dan Wells was nominated for the John W. Campbell Award for Best New Writer for his work on the John Cleaver trilogy. The final volume to that story, I Don’t Want To Kill You, is now on shelves. Wells was also nominated, along with Brandon Sanderson, for Best Related Work involving their podcast series “Writing Excuses.”

Tor editors Liz Gorinsky, Moshe Feder, and Beth Meacham were all nominated for Best Editor, Long Form. Liz is also a short fiction editor for Tor.com and curated 2010’s Steampunk Fortnight and 2009’s Steampunk Month.

Tor authors Carrie Vaughn, Mary Robinette Kowal, and Peter Watts were nominated in the Short Story category along with Tor.com original story story “Ponies” by Kij Johnson.

Graphic Story nominations went to author of the upcoming Mysterly River book Bill Willingham (Fables: Witches) and to Phil and Kaja Foglio for Girl Genius Vol 10.

Congratulations to everyone!
