Done in 60 Seconds Awards Features Some Internet Gems

The 2011 Jameson/Empire Magazine’s Done in 60 Seconds competition is complete, but that doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy the occasional brilliance of some of the entries. The challenge was simple: contestants had to convey the entirety of a movie in only 60 seconds, using any style they desired. While not as perfect as the 30 second Bunny Cinema version of Highlander, many of the shortlisted videos were great examples the cool stuff the internet is capable of producing. (Juno with a cast of all little British children? Perfect.)

However, we are a little partial to the Shaun of the Dead entry, which retells the film in the style of Bryan Lee O’Malley of Scott Pilgrim series fame. Why this one didn’t make it further in the competition, we’ll never know.
