Time travel the whole family can enjoy

One of our community members, anobium, wonders: why does time travel always involve murder or assassination? How come no one ever uses their powers for good? And if you could go back in time and change history without killing anyone, what would you do?

I like Niven’s antibiotics idea, but I think the repercussions (population explosions, virulent drug-resistant bacteria, and less effective antibiotics today) might not be worth it. Maybe just soap, then.
