Legendary Letterer Gaspar Saladino Profiled

Bobby Reed of Dial B for Blog has posted a 12-part profile of Gaspar Saladino, the comic book letterer and logo designer who worked for over fifty years, mostly for DC Comics. Among his most well-known work is the classic Arkhan Asylum: A Serious House on Serious Earth by Grant Morrison and Dave McCKean. It’s a very comprehensive chronicle of the man’s career, and definitely worth a look. As part of the effort to ‘immortalize Gaspar Saladino,’ other comics websites and blogs have also posted Saladino-related items, most notably Todd Klein’s Blog, where he treats his readers to a whole hell of a lot of Saladino’s typographical work from a memo he made back in the 1980s compiling large chunks of the DC lettering archives. Type nuts rejoice, please to enjoy.
