This piece was written during the 2023 WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes. Without the labor of the writers and actors currently on strike, the series being covered here wouldn’t exist.

Season four of Star Trek: Lower Decks is premiering on Paramount+ in mere days, and while we’ve got a new “trailer” (check it out above) it’s more like a sizzle reel than a showcase for new footage (though we do get the tease that some Lower Deckers will be heading to U.S.S. Voyager!)—there’s also good news for those who want to (re)watch season three before then.

For those who don’t want to re-up their Paramount+ subscription just yet, the streamer has put full episodes of season three on its YouTube page! You can watch the first episode here, and find subsequent episodes on the page as well.

Season four will see the return of everyone’s favorite Lower Deckers, including Ensign Beckett Mariner, voiced by Tawny Newsome; Ensign Brad Boimler, voiced by Jack Quaid; Ensign Tendi, voiced by Noël Wells; and Ensign Rutherford, voiced by Eugene Cordero. We had the pleasure of seeing Quaid and Newsome play their characters in live-action form during the latest season of Star Trek: Brave New Worlds, but will be nice to see them back to their animated selves in the upcoming episodes.

The first two episodes of season four of Lower Decks will premiere on Paramount+ on September 7, 2023. Subsequent episodes will drop on a weekly basis. We also got a new poster for the show today, which you can see below in all its glory:
