Here’s your first look at Girls’ Allison Williams, looking appropriately boyish to play Peter Pan in NBC’s upcoming TV musical Peter Pan Live! You know what else she looks like? Office poll results:
- like someone plundered an American Apparel
- what Marnie from Girls would look like if she were starring in a performance art piece as Peter Pan (because that would totally be a plotline)
- Natalie and Emily’s grade-school Tenel Ka Halloween costumes
Those shorts! Those armbands! That mesh! To be honest, we’re kinda digging it.
Hell, this is the TV movie that cast Christopher Walken as Captain Hook. (And where’s THAT costume reveal?) If they want to avoid getting panned like The Sound of Music Live!, they might as well make some radical choices, starting with doing away with Peter Pan’s iconic green tights. At this rate, we’re worried/excited to see what they do with Tinkerbell.

That said, judging from the costume, we wouldn’t be surprised to see this Peter adding some parkour to his flying repertoire.
