John writes ... I met my current fiancée while reading the WOT series for the first time (a friend had turned me onto it). Nicola and myself had a common interest in fantasy books. We met working in a theatre on our college campus. It was logical in the theatre to discuss fantasy and other literary works. Our first date was the Renaissance Festival, followed by dates to LOTR movie and book discussion. One of our first road trips was with friends to Charleston for a book signing after Crossroads of Twilight came out.

In Charleston, Nicola told Robert Jordan at the signing, "I haven't gotten far in the books, but my boyfriend really enjoys them." Nicola is now devouring our/my stash of WOT books, while I am waiting for the next book to come out and re-reading the Conan series. We still spend many hours discussing the books with friends.

WOT has become a large focal point in our life.
