REAL-LIFE WoT ROMANCES

In one Age, called the Third Age by some, an Age yet to come, an Age long past, a wind rose in the Rhannon Hills. The wind was not the beginning. There are neither beginnings nor endings to the turning of the The Wheel of Time.
But it was a beginning. . .
Read more about new beginnings in the next few pages where you'll find tales of romance and stories of men and women who have met and fallen in love because of their common interest in The Wheel of Time!
Amber and Markku
Hometown: Espoo, Finland
Married: together for 3 years
Amber writes ... In December of 1999, I decided to buy The Wheel of Time game, based loosely on my favorite series The Wheel of Time. I played until March 2000, when I decided to join one of the many "clans" that were dedicated to the game. The clan leader was Markku and we hit it off right away, talking about the books (which also got him interested in the game), our interests, and playing many long hours of the game together.
In May 2000, we decided to meet, and the rest is history! We flew back and forth for a year (racked up quite the credit card bill too!) and in March 2001 we were married at a JOP in Finland. We still flew back and forth until July when he had to go to the military. I found out I was pregnant then, had my baby in February 2002 and then moved to Finland to be with Markku permanently. Without the fabulous series, The Wheel of Time, the game would've never been made, and I would have never met the love of my life. Many many thanks to Robert Jordan. Your series changed my life!
The other pictures are from my Wedding Blessing Ceremony from July 7th of last year. It also shows my cake topper (view close-up) which my mom made: the WoT Serpent biting it's own tail symbol. In the picture of the 4 of us is me, Markku, my daughter Nicolette, and our WoT baby, Quinn. Without this series we would've never met and never would've had our handsome little boy. =) Thanks again for this wonderful opportunity to share my story.
p.s. I also have a dog named Shaido.
A SPECIAL THANKS
