Pablo Defendini

Well, we’ve got another contender. SciFi Wire, that go-to resource for hot news and bite-size snippets of happenings around science fiction TV and movie news, courtesy of the SciFi network, has grown up into a full-fledged site as of today. From their about page:

SCI FI Wire is hot news about movies, TV, games, books, top celebrities and more. Red-carpet photos. The newest movie trailers. Sneak peeks at upcoming TV shows and seasons. Exclusive on-set interviews. And with the team behind SCI FI Weekly, we're about to add all sorts of new content: Top 10 lists, exclusive Q&As, satire, dispatches from the front lines of science fiction, fantasy and the supernatural, funny stuff and a lot more.

Welcome to the party, folks.

The question is, what's happening to Sci Fi Weekly? I love a weekly review from Paul Di Filippo. His reviews are insightful, clever and steeped in deep genre knowledge. Ditto for Clute's monthly column, which I sometimes even understand. (Of course, if they fired Clute, maybe he'd get to work on his next novel, which would be a great side-effect. Appleseed was an awesome novel. Back to main point: what's happening to sfw? Anyone know?
