Saturday morning cartoons: The Christmas edition

Irene Gallo

The Legend of the Turning Stone
Climent Melanie, Fraysse Elodie, Frezet Emilie
Christmas a little (ok, maybe a lot) creepy.

CBS Christmas spot
R. O. Blechman and Willis Pyle
Christmas with all the charm you would expect from Mr. Blechman.

Frosty the Snowman
UPA
Oddly manic and sweet. From UPA, as so many good things are.

I wasn't able to embed this one but it might have been my favorite if I could have. A sock puppet and wooden donkey....

Yeah, it's hard to pick a favorite. They all have such different moods, and they're all so very effective...I've watched each one multiple times, at this point, and all I know is that they're brilliant and they make happy. Except for the French one, which is a little more complicated, and makes-me-want-to-smoke-clove-cigarettes-and-contemplate-the-void-style-happy. Vive La France!
