My words may have been insulting (though, I don't think they were to anyone but Hispanics; my own culture, that is), but I am not going to maintain political correctedness and I wouldn't expect anyone else to as well. It is not my age that bothers me. Rather, it is *your* perception of it. It is your perception of how my age affects my arguments and how my age affects your relations with me. Case in point: your condescending tone. I can almost certainly say that I know more about the Internet than you do, and your suggestions to try to be safe on the 'Net are wise, but unwarranted. I have seen first-hand just how mighty the Internet can be when Anonymous puts its mind to the task of griefing someone. I know enough about technology and the Internet to know what to avoid (to prevent malware), and it is quite hard to actually rise someone's ire enough that they will seek personal vengeance on me. A few wisecracks will not do it. The Internet is *not* scary. I'm nearly as much of a misanthrope as anyone can be (and not be a shut-in), and I still think that people are generally good. Stupid, but good. But back to that condescension I was mentioning. Statements like the following: "Adults present arguments without judgment." "I think that Roxinos finally understood at least where several us were going with our modest reproaches..." "The intent was to get you to think about how you say things, and also, because you are young, I wanted you to understand that you *are* putting yourself out there, and by identifying yourself, possibly in a scary way. There are some really nasty people out here, and by being admittedly arrogant you are going to cheese some people off mightily. Just change your id information so that people can't look you up. If you're scared of me, notify the site and why. I'm perfectly non-scary, but when I clicked on you to see if you had any information listed to get a better read on why you responded the way you did, there was a name. Curious, I googled it, and there is a picture of you showing me that you are indeed young. So, I felt I should give you some motherly advice to protect yourself from someone out there who might do something with that info." I have nothing against you. I am not afraid of you. I am not afraid of the Internet (and quite frankly, neither should you be; if the Internet wants to find out who you are, the Internet will find out who you are regardless of what you try to do to stop it, but most people on the Internet don't know how, and the select few who do are just as lazy as I am; writing out long-winded posts is about as active as most people like me can get). Just try to see the condescension in your tone of voice, and we'll be fine. I'm still not going back to post, but I'd rather someone understand my point of view (at the very least). I understand yours, and think it's unwarranted. You can understand mine, and have whatever opinion of it you want.

For the record, it is not bravado. I am arrogant. You, on the other hand, are incredibly condescending. And *that* is the reason I am no longer posting. There is nothing wrong with arrogance, and human beings make judgments. If you were without judgment because you're an adult, then you would let met posts stand on their own merit and would never have thought about my age. It really is sad. I was rather enjoying the posting until you pulled the age card. Damn shame.
