I'm a long-time spec fic reader and new writer, primarily of mythic fiction and urban fantasy (of the not-paranormal-romance type). Have lived in India, Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, The Netherlands, Scotland, and the US, so I tend to play with cross-cultural themes. Let's see. Er. I'm an alum of Clarion (2007), for which I received the Octavia Butler Memorial Scholarship. I'm also writing a dissertation in linguistics, but that's paused due to health problems.
