Is Doomsday in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice?

Batman v Superman Doomsday

Bleeding Cool is reporting that concept art exists for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice featuring the character Doomsday, whose primary claim to fame is beating the crap out of Superman so hard that Superman died. The 90's were like that.

And, you know, at this point why not? The film already features Batman, Superman, Lex Luthor, Wonder Woman, Cyborg, Lois Lane, Alfred, Perry White, and is rumored to be including hints of Arrow, Aquaman, Green Lantern, The Flash, and others. Surely the addition of Doomsday will be the thing that finally excites us? We hope Paul Giamatti is playing him. His Rhino was effortless and beautiful.

"We didn't have enough violence in the last Superman movie. But if we use this Hulk clone we can have more destruction than Transformers 4 did!"

Time for a rethink, DC.

It's weird that they keep going back to the well with two of Superman's worst villains--Zod and Doomsday.

This movie is going to be such a hot mess.

It just seems ridiculously over drawn for a movie, DC wont use a villian like Parasite or Metallo much better villains then Doomsday. Lex Luthor is a decent villain on his own as long as he is treated like the post crisis version, not the silver age one

My guess is that any concept art is just for a post credits scene introducing Doomsday, Avengers-style.

Which misses the whole point about WHY the Thanos reveal worked, but wev. DCs so busy chasing that Billion Dollar Box Office that Avengers got they will throw everything at the wall, regardless of it'll stick.

This is reminding me so much of the pre-judging on X-Men: Days of Future Past... "zomg so many mutants! it's gonna be such a mess! how can you have a movie cast that has more than three people in it? How!?!"

Good grief. Just because a character has a name doesn't make them "featured" or equal in weight/screentime/plot. Alfred probably has three lines in the entire movie, and exists so Batman has someone to talk to. Wonder Woman is reportedly a cameo. And Doomsday, if he's in it at all, is probably Luthor's henchman and/or another experiment like Cyborg. In any other movie nobody would care about who's cast as a butler, or the lead's boss at work. but suddenly in a comic book movie just because the characters have names, it's all "ooooh so many characters!! So stuffed!" Ridiculous.

Time to think big and use Supes' most dangerous villain (ask Alan Moore if you don't believe me ) ...

Or, hell - let's use the Toyman.

comment 3 ON luthor I see how you got there but the first movie was already so full of "look this is the Superman movie too smart to buy Superman" That a second SUPERMAN movie where BATMAN gets top billing does'nt need an arch foe that Superman is powerless against cuz "OH MY GOD he has money and a desk!"
