Take a Peek at Guillermo del Toro’s Sketchbook Featuring Hellboy, Pan’s Labyrinth and More!

Who wants to take a peek at Guillermo del Toro’s sketchbook with all his pretty pictures and notes—you do! And we do too, so we were thrilled to find an imgur account with featuring a smorgasbord of his doodles, color drawings and plans for various films. You will need to know some Spanish to get the scribbled out notes, but these pages are an incredible peek into the mind of a filmmaker whose visual imagination goes far beyond what most would find in their wildest dreams.

Here’s one from as-yet unmade At the Mountains of Madness! We really hope this one ends up on screens...

From Pacific Rim! A great array of sketches featuring monsters and human moments on one page.

From Pan’s Labyrinth—that super creepy root is diagramed to a tee here, as well as little design pieces scattered throughout.

And from Hellboy 2! That gorgeous plant god and it’s massively unfair end still makes us wibbly....

Stubby the Rocket is the Tor.com mascot, and would like to know what a del Toro-style rocket might look like....
