Guillermo del Toro Taunts Us with Conversations About Hellboy 3!

Hellboy 3

Should Ron Perlman break out his horn-file? Apparently he and Guillermo del Toro are talking about Hellboy 3 again, because del Toro’s work with Legendary Entertainment on Pacific Rim has rekindled his old moviemaking joy. However, IGN is throwing some cold water on the, um, flames, saying that rights issues may make a trilogy impossible. But then Ron Perlman had to say this:

“Everything that was done in both movies was leading up to this destiny, written in stone, of what Hellboy has been summoned to Earth to do. To not do it, particularly in light of the scope that Guillermo is thinking of for the resolve, would be in my mind a little bit of a shame.”

Come on, Hollywood! If you’re going to throw Grown Ups 2 at us surely you can allow a kitten-loving demon to fulfill his destiny?

But the big question is, if the movie is going to be made, will Bruce Campbell finally get to play Lobster Johnson?

Just please start working on it soon! We know there are many fans already waiting for it - and good critical acclaim (I'm sure del Toro could get it) could drawn in more - so there's definitely profit to be made there.

@1: I don't see why not. The 'Zinco epilogue' from Hellboy II definitely pointed towards the return of characters from the first film such as Kroenen and Rasputin, so Johnson would fit right in.
