Morning Roundup: Tetris: The Movie

We really hope if a REAL Tetris: The Movie ever hit the screens that it would feature someone being able to move the giant Tetris blocks with their mind in the style of Tony Stark or Tom Cruise in Minority Report. We also hope a movie based on Rampage will feature giant monsters destroying buildings, BUT WITH NO NARRATIVE EXPLANATION. This would cause the game to actually make more sense than the film, which would blow peoples’ minds.

Your offsite links are only based on the game of Life.

Highlights include:

  1. A big name joins Robocop remake.
  2. Win a box of weird!
  3. Are SF authors slacking off?

Every day Stubby the Rocket jets around the internet looking for links of interest. When Stubby finds these links, they get put in our handy Links of Interest section and sometimes on our Twitter and Facebook!  Here’s today’s selection:

Star Trek

Star Wars

Stubby the Rocket is the mascot of Tor.com. Stubby is bad at Tetris but great at smack-talking during Rampage. Or Mario Kart 64.

Wow, the comments following the article on Elizabeth Moon are more fantastical than plots from the show Fringe! Apparently identity chips will turn you into Satan and the goverment will have a remote control that can kill you if you get out of line.

Hey, Stubby the Rocket, you forgot to mention that SpaceX's Dragon capsule has successfully docked with the ISS. This is an historic event and is right up your alley!

I'm still hoping that someone in the movie Battleship actually plays with little red pegs or shouts the immortal line- You sunk my Battleship!

However, I'll probably need to see it in order to find out. Sigh- the things we do for science.
