The Hunger Games Get the Propaganda Poster Treatment

We know that Rosie the Riveter has long been a symbol of female can-do, but what happens when you live in Panem? How would their propaganda posters look? Well, the peeps over at College Humor have the answer... and it’s hilarious.

Stubby the Rocket is the mascot of Tor.com. Stubby wants you to know that thoughts are rockets, but rockets are also rockets.

I think my favorite is "Word are weapons, but weapons are also weapons."

Great advice - Stand up to Bullies. Then Kill Them. Think I'll print this off for school ;)

Some of the posters cross the line from propaganda that enflames the reader's passion for the subject into attacking the targetted audience.

Take out the "Because we don't have a choice," "Feel slightly less guilty...,""Who needs elections," and the "There's a 1 in 24 chance..." lines, and I think you could really consider them viable posters that you might see in Panem.

I agree with Rancho - the language doesn't make them viable Panem propaganda. They're mildly amusing, but I think they're trying too hard even for OUR society.
