I'm sorely tempted to get tickets & make my way to Chicago for the event. I've said this before but it bears repeating: Gene Wolfe is the writer who has had the same impact on my adult life that J.R.R. Tolkien had on my teenage life. He's an epic voice that deserves to be put next to any luminary you can name, in the genre or out of it.
