Saturday Morning Cartoons: “Suzy Snowflake” and “Frosty the Snowman”

Suzy Snowflake: This classic TV animation was animated by Wah Ming Chang. For those who don’t know the name, he went on to design props and costumes for Star Trek, including the tricorders and communicators. (2:38 minutes)

Frosty The Snowman: This short film was done by UPA, better known for Gerald McBoingBoing and other theatrical releases, before the Rankin/Bass special most people are familiar with. (2:40 minutes)

René Walling is a fan of SF, animation and comics, this has led him to co-chair Anticipation, the 2009 Worldcon, be involved with fps magazine for more than a decade, and start Nanopress, a Canadian small press. He looks forward to living on Mars where he would benefit from having more than 24 hours in a day.

Thanks for the link to Suzy Snowflake. I'd been thinking of it the other day, but could only remember the first line. It was a standard December cartoon on Garfield Goose, a staple of my childhood.
