One Lego to Rule Them All

Today, Lego teased out an image from its forthcoming Lord of the Rings line. (Not to be confused with these fan-made Game of Thrones Lego minifigs.) Right now there’s only the one image of Lego Frodo (and he looks pretty mad...), but Lego will undoubtedly be revealing more characters up to the summer 2012 release date posted on their site. The only question now is what does Lego Tom Bombadil look like?

Image above from Lego’s site, which you can check out here.

Stubby the Rocket is the voice and mascot of Tor.com. You can’t bind Stubby, even in the darkness.

I wonder if their license is just for the physical bricks or if they'll get to do one (or two, or three, or four) videogames with the property, too...

Hoping this means we'll get a LEGO LotR game for consoles, like Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Harry Potter, Pirates of the Caribbean and Batman. Those are fun.

And I will want them all. There goes all my money.

They sound sweet, but now I want Lensmen Lego. And Known Space Lego - Pupeteers and Grog and Kzinti. Fafhrd and Grey Mouser Lego. And then further afield - Joanna Russ's Whileaway Lego. Borges' Garden of Forking Paths Lego...

Excuse me, I haven't had my first cup of tea of the day yet.
