Morning Roundup: Robert J. Sawyer Predicted the Future!

Happy Wednesday! We’ve always know science fiction writers were great, but now we’ve got new proof. Over ten years ago Robert J. Sawyer predicted the recent Nobel Prize Winners in his novel FlashForward. And that’s just the beginning of the today’s offsite links! Highlights include:

1.) Is a new SFF golden age upon us?

2.) You have a chance to be IN the last Wheel of Time novel!

3.) Is a Watchman on TheThe Sarah Jane Adventures?

From our handy “Of Interest” sidebar:

Stubby the Rocket is the voice and mascot of Tor.com. Stubby was almost cast as Thor, but Stubby drew the line at eyebrow bleaching.

The SF Signal article about the new Golden Age is great. I have oft
time bemoaned not having lived in the era of Galaxy, Astounding and
Amazing Stories. What I really need to be doing is embracing all the
great SF that is being published today including that which is published
in digital formats which as the article correctly points were the stuff
of science fiction themselves not all that long ago.
