Papageno: Lotte Reiniger’s best known film is The Adventures of Prince Achmed, but she created many other beautiful films with her paper silouettes. This is one inspired by Mozart’s The Magic Flute. (10:53 minutes)
Les trois inventeurs (The Three Inventors): After several years working on commercial projects, French animator Michel Ocelot, decided his apprenticeship was over and he would create a masterpiece (in the original sense of the word). This is the result and it would launch his career. Some of the films he made afterwards include Kirikou and the Sorceress, Princes and Princesses (Post) and Azur & Asmar: The Princes’ Quest.
