That is a full-sized crocheted Hypnotoad. She based her dimensions on its size relative to characters in the show. It comes out at 22” long, 21” wide, and 10” tall. It also weighs over 2 pounds. The eyes are hand-painted.
But wait, there’s more! She embedded a device in the Hypnotoad’s foot which plays the Hypnotoad’s mesmerizing sound when you press it:
ALL GLORY TO SMAPTE AND THE HYPNOTOAD.
Visit the Brain Slug Planet
Why wait for the brain slugs to find us? Now we can inflict them on ourselves. Alicia at Hooks and Needles wrote a simple brain slug crocheting pattern. It took me about 20 min to make one of the small models.
To affix it to your head, just whip out a headband or some pins/clips. Voila! Today’s mission is for all of you to go to the Brain Slug Planet.
Scalpel. Blood bucket. Priest. Next patient!
His is not the face I’d like to see bending over me in an operating room, but I love seeing it on the screen. Mostly Nerdy Crochet has written a Zoidberg pattern, so you can make your own Zoidberg and...feel better by comparison?
So your name is Lord Nibbler?
It’s expensive keeping the universe’s hungriest ambassador as a pet, but he makes up for it in cuteness and dark matter. The Nibbler doll pattern was created by Amber of Cthulhu Crochet and Cousins.
Bite my shiny metal ass.
What do baby Benders drink? Cerveza! Bender was hecho en Mexico, after all. While there are Bender crocheting patterns out there, there were none I found as impressive as the pair made by Mostly Nerdy Crochet, complete with baby bottles of beer. Fantastic.
Kif, I’m getting the Captain’s itch.
“I’ll get the powder, sir.”
Lt. Kif Kroker has the worst job in the universe. Lucky for him, Craftster LuckyNumber7 made a cuddly Kif doll, and I’m sure he’ll get all the hugs he needs. Alas no pattern, but still quite fun.
