Star Trek VII: Generations Appreciation Giveaway

Star Trek Enterprise-B modelEvery Star Trek movie appreciation this week will have an accompanying giveaway specific to that movie. A bit of history, or something tongue-in-cheek, or something random...whatever feels right.

For today’s Star Trek VII: Generations coverage we’re giving away a model of the U.S.S. Enterprise-B from Round2 Models! Fair warning, though, most of the fun components of this model won’t be installed until Tuesday. So try not to have any disastrous maiden voyages until then.

The Official Rules: To enter, post a comment in this post. Duplicate comments won’t be counted. One winner will be randomly selected by noon EST on Monday May 9th. Please check your email in the 24 hours after the giveaway has concluded; if we don’t hear back from a winner within 24 hours of being contacted, another winner will be chosen.

Stubby the Rocket is the mascot of Tor.com and never leaves spacedock without a tractor beam. Seriously, that is just bush league.

I'd love to have a model of this ship, to fondly remind me of the folly of making a starship captain out of Cameron from Ferris Bueller's Day Off.

Jim, Are you out of your vulkan mind? Of course, the intelligent thing is to give me that ship.

Now this is a giveaway I can get behind. I thought I'd leave the whale sounds to more diehard fans of the original cast, but the Enterprise B is my kind of love boat.

She was a beautiful ship, sad that she had such a terrible legacy of the demise of kirk on ther maiden voyage.

I bet Cameron's dad was pretty angry about his son getting his starship damaged...

My boss used to have this model kit, but he never even opened the box. Later, the guy who gifted him the model stole the model but left the box with a note telling my boss he took too long to construct the model. I'd love to get the model so I could do it myself--and show my boss what the finished product looks like.

Just what I need, another Star Trek model.

I already have the original Enterprise (Wrath of Khannnnn edition), the Enterprise D from All Good Things, and a Bird of Prey (doubles as hat rack for my Jayne hat, because I like to mix my nerdiness up).

I hope the tractor beam's working this time.
Otherwise insurance won't cover me for outer-solar cruises.
I made a mistake one time - and Kirk volunteered, damn it!
It wasn't my fault.
