X-Men First Class: Full-Length Trailer Review

The longer-form trailer for X-Men: First Class ups the ante on a couple very important ingredients in awesome sauce, to wit sexiness (that sure is one good-looking cast, and they each appear to recognize just how good-looking all the others are, judging from all those come-hither glances and leaning in for kisses) and jaw-dropping feats of I Am Superhero, Behold Me-ness; Magneto lifting a submarine with his bare, trembling magnetic hand and stopping a dozen-or-so possibly-nuclear missiles by the same means . . . wow.

I don’t know about y’all, but I’m ready to geek out with my beak out for this one. (Yes, I’m excited enough that I don’t care how dumb that sounded).

That is an... Odd lineup they chose. Havoc and Azazel? Really?

I'm really not all that interested in this. Origin stories are getting pretty tired, in my opinion.

As "cool" as it is to see Magneto lift a submarine out of the water... meh. This reminds me of the recent Star Wars movies, with a "younger, hipper" Yoda. And that last bit at the end where Magneto pulls a Neo, except instead of stopping bullets he stops warheads. Show me something new, something exciting. Stupid CG effects are boring the crap out of me.

Woot! My geek card:) I've collected from Uncanny 92- 312ish. Takes me back some, mind you, they've seemingly changed the line-up somewhat here. I dunno, looks like good times, casting seems wonky. Guy that played Prof X "curved" bullets in Wanted. Don't know the dude playing Mags, and Wasp seems like a noob too. Figure it is worth a boo.

Woof™.
