My comment shall not only enroll me in the contest, it shall also add value to all who read it.

You are all hereby ordered to read Ambrose Bierce's classic short story "A Son of the Gods," freely available on several online out-of-copyright literature sites. It is not in the SF/Fantasy genre, but it is one of the best short stories ever written.

Its central action was ripped off for the opening scene of Dances With Wolves.

You are welcome.
