Saturday Morning Cartoons Repeats Itself

Ever had one of those days that seems just like the one before? Or ones where you just can’t keep up with everything that’s going on? Or both at once? These films capture those feelings perfectly.

Cycles: Teddy bears play in trafic, while Cyriak’s music plays, birds fly about and people calmly walk by. (2:59 minutes)

Tango: Zbig Rybczynski’s film achieved a similar effect using traditional film techniques. This one is set in a rather crowded appartment. (8:04 minutes)

René Walling is a fan of SF, animation and comics, this has led him to co-chair Anticipation, the 2009 Worldcon, be involved with fps magazine for more than a decade, and start Nanopress, a Canadian small press. He looks forward to living on Mars where he would benefit from having more than 24 hours in a day.

I love Cycles....and the music has got to be one of the most manic creepy tunes I've heard in a while.

Have you seen the video to Kylie Minogue's "Come into my world"?
A similar theme amazingly well executed.

in the "Tango" film everyone who comes into the room eventually leaves again. Except for the baby who gets placed in the crib... and never gets taken out. Repeatedly.

Just how many babies were in that crib by the end?
