Saturday Morning Cartoons: “Inuit” and “Monkey”

Inuit, Monkey

I love the Olympics (and am unabashedly excited to see Apollo Anton Ono and the Flying Tomato in just a few weeks). So, today’s selections are two sweet shorts in celebration of the games.

Inuit: A quick and powerful adventure, beautifully designed by Jon Klassen for the upcoming Vancouver Olympics. (o.43 minutes)

Monkey: Journey to the West: A playful operatic epic told in just two minutes. (2.0 minutes)

Inuit

Monkey: Journey to the West

Thanks for posting these. I have zero interest in the Olympics, but these clips were both great. For more info on the Jamie Hewlett animation: http://www.guardian.co.uk/media/2008/jul/24/bbc.television
