When's the actual Party?
Perhaps another Tor.com meetup... The last one was a lot of fun.

Blast, foiled yet again on my attempt to win something! Congratulations to the winners and Tor.com for what seems a successful year. While I didn't comment on all of the stories on your birthday, I highly enjoyed the many "On July 20th, 1969..." stories. I'm pretty sure I actually read them all! That is the one event I'm extremely jealous that I wasn't alive to witness...even so I still got goosebumps reading some of those accounts.

I thought I had a shot at maybe one yesterday morning- when the counts were 40- 80. When they went over 200....

Congratulations to all the winners! And a particular thanks to Tor for the "No geographic restrictions" mention for entries. It was a much-appreciated recognition of the international spread of Tor.com readers.

Congratulations to all the winners, but now, based on lmelior's comment @3, I now wonder if the launch of tor.com last year was arranged to coincide with the moon landing anniversary?

Yesterday was a lot of fun. Thanks for putting it on, Tor and Torie.
...I just got why some people are credulous about your name, Torie.

@13. SoonLee

According to this post it was.

"When Tor.com launched exactly one year ago, we didn’t choose the day arbitrarily. July 20th is a special day in science fiction: it’s the anniversary of Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin first setting foot on the moon, while Michael Collins orbited above."

Congratulations to all the winners, I promise to be only a little bit envious. (Except for Charles Martin. I'm gonna be a whole lot envious of that one, you betcha.)

Were all the prizes claimed?
Was that a serious comment about picking new winners?
Should we keep our hopes up or not?
