Real Books That Look Photoshopped

Something Awful has compiled a great list of real live books with hilarious titles and covers. Some, like those pictured above, are intentional parodies; others, like those pictured below, are not. Check out the whole list for yourself.

While there is a dabbling of comics and at least two SF/fantasy titles, I feel our beloved (and occasionally poorly illustrated/ poorly titled) genre was underrepresented. So, what science fiction and fantasy titles have you seen that look like they could’ve been photoshopped?

What's with the cats=autism books?!? I have a special needs kid and I have not once thought he was anything like a cat.

Cuz, ya know, he's a human being and all?

That aside, I think that the Rosey Grier book is the clear winner. It's funky and sensitive and kinda awkward at once.

I wish I could buy a poster with the cover of Children Are No Match For Fire.

Oh it's totally a winner! It's entirely sincere--he really liked needlepoint and wanted to spread the love. You can see fully scanned images of the book here. Looks cool, right?

I'd like to get my hands on the Archie meets The Punisher comic myself. "I knew there'd be a chaperone, but this is ridiculous!"

Hey, actually that reminds me. Do you have the copy of Superman vs. He-Man from the CUSFS archives? Because I'd really like that.

I'm not sure if this is what you had in mind, but here are a few of my favorite WTFSF books:

Our Friends From Frolix 8, Philip K Dick - I love the deformed Chairman Mao look:

Runaway Robot, Lester Del Rey - Emo Robot, wait!

The Doctor Who Dinosaur Book

William and the Space Animal, Richmal Crompton - you interstellar bullies!

Sam Weskit on the Planet Framingham

Star Ka'at, Andre Norton - I think it's the Star Wars font that really gets me
