Patrick Arrasmith talks about his scratchboard art for the Last Apprentice series

Patrick Arrasmith, The Last Apprentice

I hate it when someone does a cool interview with a friend of mine that I didn’t think to do first. So, with resentment, here is Mr. Patrick Arrasmith talking about his awesome scratchboard work for Joseph Delaney’s The Last Apprentice series.

(via Galley Cat.)

You can check out more of Patrick’s work on his website, Tor.com gallery, this Lines and Colors profile, and a tiny interview on my own Art Department.

Wow--I know Patrick Arrasmith's work is amazing, but it's really nice to get some insight into his process (especially for those of us who didn't go to art school :) I really want to play with scratchboard stuff now; can we have another arts-and-craft day soon? I will steal enough Xacto knives for everybody, I promise...
