Renee Witterstaetter
Writer and creator Renee Witterstaetter began the comics phase of her career working on such titles as Superman at DC Comics and Silver Surfer, Conan The Barbarian and Conan Saga at Marvel before going on to spearhead the reintroduction of She-Hulk at Marvel.  She then moved over to Topps Comics where she worked on The X-Files, Jurassic ParkXena and Hercules and was the co-creator, along with Jackie Chan and artist Michael Golden, of Jackie Chan’s Spartan X…, one of the inspirations for the animated series.  During this time, Renee was also the color artist on hundreds of comics from the Avengers to Spiderman to Captain America, among many, many more.

Film work was a natural next step for Renee after her immersion in comics, and after a chance meeting with Buster Keaton’s widow in LA and a run-in with a tiger while on crutches – long story – Renee stayed in Hollywood for a time and began her film career. She has since worked on dozens of music videos for Madonna, Seal and Usher, as well as the feature movies Police Story III, Drunken Master II, Crime Story, Rush Hour Two, Red Dragon , To Ease the Loss and Swimming With The Virgin, among others.

She is the author of numerous books, boxing articles and feature articles including Dying for Action: The Life and Films of Jackie Chan, The Fantastic Art of Arthur Suydam, and The Art of the Barbarian, as well as the new deluxe art book Excess: The Art of Michael Golden.

In addition to ongoing film work, Renee is the President of Little Eva Ink Publishing and Little Eva Ink Toys, responsible for the irreverent “Stick it to ‘em” series, among others, as well as the upcoming Spartan X statuettes.   Renee is currently involved in the Creator Chronicles DVD series, featuring interviews with major industry creators.
