Boris attended the National School of Fine Arts in Lima, Peru before immigrating to the United States in 1964. He arrived in the U.S. with a suitcase of clothes, some samples of his artwork, a violin, and $80.00 in his pocket. In the years since, he has become a legend in the fantasy and science fiction art world. His paintings have been seen on hundreds of book covers, calendars, magazines, and movie posters.
